This programme has been designed to enable you to reach the following outcomes:

• US ID 243823 Developing a Scope Statement for a project
• US ID 243824 Developing a Project Charter for a project
• US ID 243816 Develop a Project Quality Plan
• US ID 243817 Develop a Project Risk Management Plan
• US ID 243813 Develop a Cost Management Plan

Admission Requirements

Comprehension and application of the English language at senior certificate level. Basic computer knowledge.

Programme content

• Interpret the project charter and associated documents
• Determine the key requirements of the project
• Develop the Project Management approach
• Project controls required to govern the project in the required format
• Compile a preliminary scope statement
• Refine project organisational structure, profiles and responsibilities
• Determine the integrated change control procedures
• Produce the integrate Project Management plan document
• Understanding of Risk Management processes
• Identify risks related to projects
• Analyse the threats and opportunities of a project
• Develop responses for risk
• Understanding of cost management processes and techniques
• Develop cost estimates
• Develop the project cost baseline

Duration

DEPENDANT ON ENTRIES
Full time: 20 days Monday – Friday 08h00-16h00
Part time: 30 consecutive Saturdays 09h00-13h00
Night classes: 40 consecutive Wednesdays 18h00-21h00

Inclusive of all related ISO standards worth over R1000.

Certification

On successful completion of the programme, the student will receive a statement from the Services Seta for each successfully completed unit standard.

Who should attend

• Anybody working in projects, whether as a team member or as a manager
• Anybody that has practical experience in projects but no theoretical knowledge
• Anybody that wants to obtain a Diploma in Project Management without any prior knowledge of PM

This course caters for the relevant embedded knowledge required in the unit standards that need to be completed in order to achieve a Diploma in Project Management that is acknowledged worldwide.
