Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice

Description

Do you have a passion for the drawing field but don’t know where you want to specialise? This course covers all the different disciplines of engineering such as building, mechanical, piping, electrical draughting and structural steel detailing. All of this is done on a computer with the latest draughting software installed.

Admission Requirements

A knowledge, comprehension and application of language, mathematics and physical science, with technical drawing at matric level or equivalent. (50% pass or higher in the individual subjects.)

Selection Procedure

A candidate with the above qualifications will enter into a selection process that consists of a personal interview and PIB (Potential Index Battery) test.

Career Path/ Opportunities

  • Junior draughtsperson in any of the related disciplines
  • CAD operator
  • On successful completion, a student can study towards a engineering qualification (Nated N4, 5, 6)

All additional costs are included in the course fee. Student packages on the software are additional.

Certification

On successful completion of the programme, the student will receive an African Academy Certificate. This certificate is related to the National Certificate for Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice N4/N5
